FBI spending over $600M yearly to target Americans

(INTELLIHUB) — The science and technology branch is the most funded sector of the FBI, garnering a yearly budget of between $600M and $800M that is directly spent to target Americans both domestically and abroad.

For FY2017, the FBI has put in requests to increase its technology division’s budget by another $100M, bringing it closer to $1B annually. And now the madmen at the bureau are trying to gain technological access, back door keys, to most encrypted platforms and devices, such as the Android, iPhone and others in an effort to ‘make America safe,” which is total B.S. as the FBI is known to have hatched more terror plots than any other agency.

The Intercept reports just what the FBI has been up to and some of the challenges they claim to face:

The bureau has also repeatedly stressed how challenging and expensive it is to develop capabilities to hack into devices rather than have a mandated access point in encryption. “Hacking devices, … of course we do it, but it is slow,” Baker said in his concluding remarks. “It’s expensive, it’s very fragile.”

This goes to show the direction that the Deep State is headed. Soon there will be no more freedom or privacy. After all, the FBI is already using Stingrays to monitor your cell phone conversations, despite the unconstitutionality.

Fake news: CNN guest laughably claims Berkeley rioters were right-wingers

CNN gives Democratic operative platform to spread outright lies

(INTELLIHUB) — In the very definition of fake news, CNN recently aired laughably false comments by UC Berkeley professor and former Democratic Secretary of Labor Robert Reich about the violent riots on the liberal campus.

Reich, already a widely known anti-Trump operative, went straight down the rabbit hole of absurdity by claiming that “right-wingers” were actually behind the riots that specifically targeted Breitbart editor Milo Yiannopoulos.

“I was there for part of last night and I know what I saw and those people were not Berkeley students,” Reich said. “Those people were outside agitators. I have never seen them before.”

Reich continued, “There’s rumors that they actually were right-wingers. They were a part of a kind of group that was organized and ready to create the kind of tumult and danger you saw that forced the police to cancel the event.”

Lemon, barely able to contain himself and of course doing nothing to stop these purposefull lies, then ludicrously asked if the riots were a strategy by Milo and or right-wingers.

Reich’s response was classic corporate media disinformation.

“I wouldn’t bet against it,” Reich responded. “I saw these people. They all looked very, almost paramilitary. They were not from the campus. I don’t want to say factually, but I’ve heard there was some relationship here between these people and the right-wing movement that is affiliated with Breitbart News.”

In response to this nonsense, Paul Joseph Watson put it best by writing, “Reich’s absurd comments shouldn’t even be dignified with a rebuttal, suffice to say that the same black-clad Antifa leftists have been rioting their way through cities up and down the country for weeks, including at Donald Trump’s inauguration in Washington DC. Was that all a secret right-wing plot too?”

As we have repeatedly stated, this is truly an information war for the very fabric of the country and Reich is simply doing his job of continuing the establishment side disinformation operation.

Stephen Hawking: Governments are engaged in an AI arms race that could destroy humanity

On Monday, English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, author and Director of Research at the Centre for Theoretical Cosmology within the University of Cambridge, Stephen Hawking went on the Larry King show. He was less than optimistic about the future of humanity.

Six years ago, Hawking was on the King show and said, “Mankind is in danger of destroying ourselves by our greed and stupidity.” When asked if he thought humanity has changed since their last visit, Hawking replied, “We have certainly not become less greedy or less stupid.”

In summarizing the last six years,
Stephen Hawking said, “Six years ago, I was warning about pollution and overcrowding; they have gotten worse since then.”

Hawking’s faith in humanity is apparently dwindling as the theoretical physicist predicted little more than doom and gloom. “The population has grown by half a billion since our last interview, with no end in sight. At this rate, it will be eleven billion by 2100. Air pollution has increased by 8 percent over the past five years. More than 80 percent of inhabitants of urban areas are exposed to unsafe levels of air pollution,” he said.

Hawking says that addressing pollution is a major concern, but we’ve yet to do so.

“The increase in air pollution and the emission of increasing levels of carbon dioxide. Will we be too late to avoid dangerous levels of global warming?” he said.

If humans don’t kill themselves with pollutions, according to Hawking, it will be the robots that do us in. When King asked Hawking about the dangers of artificial intelligence (AI), Hawking explained that when government is involved in technological evolution, the outlook is bleak.

“Governments seem to be engaged in an AI arms race, designing planes and weapons with intelligent technologies. The funding for projects directly beneficial to the human race, such as improved medical screening seems a somewhat lower priority.”

When King asked Hawking about his views on Ray Kurzweil’s theory of the singularity, Hawking shot it down as “too optimistic.”

“I think that his views are both too simplistic and too optimistic. Exponential growth will not continue to accelerate, something we don’t predict will interrupt it as has happened with similar forecasts in the past,” he said.

As he continued, Hawking alluded to the fears that some people hold about AI wiping humanity from the earth because of having differing goals.

Hawking said. “Once machines reach the critical stage of being able to evolve themselves, we cannot predict whether their goals will be the same as ours.”

King goes on to ask Hawking, “Will artificial intelligence ever go on to render human society obsolete?”

“Artificial intelligence has the potential to evolve faster than the human race. Beneficially AI could co-exist with humans and augment our capabilities. But a rogue AI could be difficult to stop.”

After claiming humans are stupid, greedy, and AI will destroy the world, Hawking noted that it is still important to pursue the cause of AI as it will be highly beneficial to humans in the future.
