Boris Johnson has deemed the new rule, that off-road vehicles and racing cars have to be insured even if they never enter a public highway as “insane” and a “perfect example” of “over-regulation.”
This rule, which being referred to as the Vnuk judgement, tried to make off-road vehicles such as tractors and mobility scooters pay for motor insurance.
But insurers do not believe it would be possible to make all drivers of off-road vehicles, such as tractors, buy cover meaning ordinary motorists will therefore face the costs of this levy as an additional charge to they insurance policy.
The Foreign Secretary added that such “undemocratic law-making” makes him glad that the UK voted to leave the EU.
