The New York Times is now lobbying FOR the Muslim Brotherhood

Establishment’s favorite paper goes to bat for Muslim Brotherhood

(INTELLIHUB) — The establishment paper that has spent months attacking the very idea of America first is now actively lobbying and promoting the Muslim Brotherhood after President Trump indicated he may designate the group as a terrorist organization.

In a bizarre piece by the Times editorial board, the paper attacks the President for considering a terror designation that the likes of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and UAE have already done.

The newspaper claims that designating the Brotherhood as terrorists, “would be seen by many Muslims as another attempt to vilify adherents of Islam,” before pushing yet more disinformation in claiming that Trump and his advisers are promoting an “exaggerated” vision of America under attack.

Such an order, now under consideration, would be seen by many Muslims as another attempt to vilify adherents of Islam. It appears to be part of a mission by the president and his closest advisers to heighten fears by promoting a dangerously exaggerated vision of an America under siege by what they call radical Islam.

The struggle against extremism is complex, and solutions must be tailored both to the facts and to an understanding of the likely consequences. Since 1997, the secretary of state has had the power to designate groups as foreign terrorist organizations, thus subjecting them, as well as people and businesses who deal with them, to sanctions, like freezing their assets. President Barack Obama resisted adding the Brotherhood to that list.

There are good reasons that the Brotherhood, with millions of members, doesn’t merit the terrorist designation. Rather than a single organization, it is a collection of groups and movements that can vary widely from country to country. While the Brotherhood calls for a society governed by Islamic law, it renounced violence decades ago, has supported elections and has become a political and social organization. Its branches often have tenuous connections to the original movement founded in Egypt in 1928.

So a newspaper that broadly attacks all Trump supporters as the “alt-right” and possible racists wants Americans to treat the Sharia promoting Muslim Brotherhood with nuance? This is yet another clear example of the American corporate media openly promoting the agenda of non-Americans over actual citizens.

The Times also seemingly purposefully ignores the documented goals of the Muslim Brotherhood in their transparent lobbying for the group. The fact of the matter is, the Brotherhood openly seeks to establish a worldwide Islamic caliphate that would be based on Sharia Law. Period, end of the story, that is their STATED goal.

As Breitbart’s Aaron Klein noted, “While many Brotherhood wings reject the use of violence as a strategic tactic, preferring instead a sophisticated gradualist strategy to achieve their aims, the Brotherhood has spawned terrorist organizations – most notably Hamas – that adhere to its philosophy of a world order based on Islam. The Brotherhood was also a central player in the so-called Arab Spring, revolutions punctuated by violence across the Arab world.”

Klein also destroyed the disinformation being pushed by the Times about the Muslim Brotherhood being a “political organization” that democratically represents millions of Muslims throughout the world.

“Addressing the Brotherhood’s support for the electoral process and purportedly becoming a political organization, an extensive report on the Brotherhood by the Meir Amit Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center at Israel’s Center for Special Studies explained the group’s use of some tools of democracy to advance the aim of achieving a world ruled by Sharia law, which is by definition anti-democratic,” Klein continued.

To recap, the New York Times editorial board is now openly lobbying the United States government to keep the Muslim Brotherhood from being designated a terrorist organization while at the same time spending most of each day attacking all things Trump and any indication that America is being put first.

Is the countries paper of record actually now Pro-Muslim Brotherhood and Anti-America first?

Trump's Military Nostalgia (or Victory at Sea All Over Again), Rebuilding a Last-Century Military to Fight Last-Century Wars

f you are an American male of a certain age — Donald Trump’s age, to be exact — you are likely to have vivid memories of Victory at Sea, the Emmy award-winning NBC documentary series about the U.S. Navy in World War II that aired from October 1952 to May 1953. One of the first extended documentaries of its type, Victory at Sea traced the Navy’s triumphal journey from the humiliation of Pearl Harbor to the great victories at Midway and Leyte Gulf in the Pacific and finally to Japan’s surrender aboard the USS Missouri. Drawing on archival footage (all in black and white, of course) and featuring a majestic sound track composed by Richard Rogers of Broadway musical fame, the series enjoyed immense popularity. For many young people of that time, it was the most compelling, graphic imagery available about the epic war our fathers, uncles, and classmates’ dads had fought in.

Why do I mention this? Because I’m convinced that President Trump’s talk of rebuilding the U.S. military and “winning wars again” has been deeply influenced by the kind of iconography that was commonplace in Victory at Sea and the war movies of his youth. Consider his comments on February 27th, when announcing that he would request an extra $54 billion annually in additional military spending. “We have to start winning wars again,” he declared. “I have to say, when I was young, in high school and college, everybody used to say we never lost a war. We never lost a war, remember?”

Harvard Medical School scientists need a female volunteer willing to give birth to a genetically modified Neanderthal

One of the world’s leading geneticists wants to bring back an extinct human species by cloning it from reconstructed DNA, then implanting the resulting embryo into the womb of a human woman.

“Now I need an adventurous female human,” said George Church of Harvard Medical School. “It depends on a hell of a lot of things, but I think it can be done.”

Church wants to resurrect Neanderthals, which went extinct 33,000 years ago. Although popular culture has portrayed Neanderthals as stupid, brutish and wild, evidence suggests that they were probably as intelligent as our own species.

Major ethical concerns

Church is one of the originators of the Human Genome Project that mapped the human genetic code. He is also one of the foremost developers of the field of synthetic biology.

He says that he has collected and analyzed enough Neanderthal DNA from bone fragments to create an artificial reconstruction – yes, just like the artificial reconstruction of dinosaur DNA at the center of the plot of Jurassic Park. Church would then inject this DNA into human stem cells, and later inject those stem cells into a fertilized human embryo. Church believes that the stem cells – with Neanderthal DNA – would hijack the DNA of the embryo and lead to the development of a Neanderthal instead of a human.

The embryo would be implanted into a human surrogate to develop in utero.

“It is hard to know where to begin with the ethical and safety concerns,” responded Philippa Taylor of the Christian Medical Fellowship.

In an interview with German magazine Der Spiegel, Church sets out his tenuous rationale for the project.

“Neanderthals might think differently than we do. They could even be more intelligent than us,” he said.

“When the time comes to deal with an epidemic or getting off the planet, it’s conceivable that their way of thinking could be beneficial.”

Of course, Church completely ignores or glosses over the massive safety and ethical implications of his genetic tampering. Experts have raised concerns about the possibility of genetic errors producing deformity in the cloned Neanderthals, while others have noted that a 33,000-year extinct species would have no immunity to modern diseases.

Bioethcist Bernard Rollin notes that cloning an extinct human being poses particular ethical challenges. How can Neanderthals consent to being brought back from extinction into a human-dominated world?

“I don’t think it’s fair to put people… into a circumstance where they are going to be mocked and possibly feared,” Rollins said.

Church’s plan may actually be illegal, as nearly all countries on earth, including his native United Kingdom, ban human reproductive cloning. Yet, because Church plans to clone Neanderthals and not modern humans, some governments might decide that those laws do not apply.

Mad science rolls on

Church’s plan may sound like mad science, but it’s part of a growing trend of genetic engineers increasingly setting their sights on the human genome.

In 2015, Chinese scientists became the first to admit that they had performed human “germline modification” – that is, they had modified the DNA of a human embryo.

Modern genetic therapies target only adult cells, giving them limited impact. But modifications to sperm, egg or embryonic cells affect the entire organism and are inherited by future generations.

Experts worldwide have called for a moratorium on human germline modification, citing diverse and significant ethical concerns. But the call has gone unheeded. In February of this year, the United Kingdom’s Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) gave the Francis Crick Institute permission to perform genetic modification experiments on human embryos.

“The HFEA now has the reputation of being the first regulator in the world to approve this uncertain and dangerous technology,” said Anne Scanlan of the nonprofit group LIFE. “It has ignored the warnings of over a hundred scientists worldwide and given permission for a procedure which could have damaging far-reaching implications for human beings.”

Watch Ret. U.S. Marine ask single most important question ever

Trump’s ‘travel ban’ raising intelligent questions and the real need for a border wall

(INTELLIHUB) — What if you knew for a fact that foreigners from a random country listed in President Donald Trump’s temporary travel ban would capture, torture, and possibly kill you for illegal entry into their country?

Would you still feel good about letting those very same people, in turn, enter our country, the United States of America just because liberals say sanctuary cities are good?

One retired U.S. Marine Steve Gerns, who is also a private security contractor (PSC), asked a similar question in a YouTube video and the response was colossal.

In fact, the video garnered over 44 million views in one day and all of the unexpected exposure from it forced Gerns’ employer, as a precaution, to ship Gerns out of Iraq where he was undergoing an assignment.

In his video Gerns talked about asking local Iraqis the following question:

As an American, if I went out of town right now would I be welcome?

According to the man, without skipping a beat the Iraqis immediately responded, ‘You would not be welcome.’

The locals then let Gerns know that he would not only be unwelcome but that he would likely be tortured and beheaded if he was inside the country without papers.

“This is the local populace that would do this,” the man said.

“If this is the way some of these cultures feel […] why would you be so nieve to believe that if they came to the United States that they would do anything different then they would do right here in their own country?”

Gerns appeared on Sean Hannity’s show to give the details.

Gerns told Hannity that the culture is “good at manipulation.”

Natural Gas Prices Could Plunge Below $2

So far this year, natural gas has performed the worst among major commodities, posting painful losses in January and February. It has rebounded somewhat in the last few weeks, but hovering around $3 per MMBtu, gas prices are still sharply lower compared to the fourth quarter.

Changes in seasonal temperatures are a pivotal factor for natural gas markets, and warmer winters mean weaker demand. Natural gas consumption spikes during winter months as millions of people crank up the heat, while consumption patterns descend into valleys in the spring and fall, with a smaller peak in the summer. A bout of warm weather during winter can upend gas demand forecasts.
