Report: High-level Obama operative unmasked Trump associates during surveillance, spread their identities for political purposes

(INTELLIHUB) — The Obama intelligence official who exposed the names of multiple Americans affiliated with the Trump team is a high-level operative that is well know throughout the world, according to a report by Fox News.

The report quotes a Congressional source close to the investigation while also revealing that House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes now knows the identity of the intelligence official and that the person is not a part of the FBI. It also notes that the “unmasking” of a private citizen is extremely rare.

“The main issue in this case, is not only the unmasking of these names of private citizens, but the spreading of these names for political purposes that have nothing to do with national security or an investigation into Russia’s interference in the U.S. election,” the source told Fox News.

The shocking report goes on to detail the fact that Nunes has known about the surveillance and unmasking since January but was stonewalled by the intelligence community as he attempted to look into the issue.

“He eventually was able to view them, but there was only one safe place to see the documents without compromising the sources’ identities — the old executive office building on White House grounds, which has a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) required to view classified or top secret reports. The White House did not tell Nunes about the existence of the intelligence reports, but did help him gain access to the documents at his request,” Fox News continued.

This is an extremely important part of the story, especially when you consider that Nunes has been attacked for meeting his sources on the White House grounds when we now know that there was a cover-up taking place and that Nunes only chance to see the evidence was there.

The report from Fox News comes on the heels of a stunning admission by former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas who revealed on MSNBC that she and her team had conducted an extensive operation to gather information about Trump team contacts with Russia.

“Evelyn Farkas has stated freely on TV that she and a group of associates from the Obama Administration went to congressional staffers who did not have access to these COMINT products and urged them to seek to gain access to them.”

As Intellihub News reported, “Barack Obama’s former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense Evelyn Farkas has admitted that the Obama administration spied on the Trump team and then rushed to spread the intelligence to colleagues on the Hill while simultaneously covering up where it came from.”

“The stunning admission, revealed during an appearance on MSNBC, appears to confirm that the Obama administration did indeed conduct surveillance on Trump, a fact many already believe after reports in the New York Times that cited the wiretapping.”

In the coming days we may actually find out who this “high-level” Obama operative is and you can bet your bottom dollar that his name ends with Brennan or Clapper.
